Americas Society and the The Hispanic New York Project invite you to a panel discussion with representatives from the forefront of Spanish-language publishing, who will examine the challenges of this burgeoning segment of the U.S. publishing industry:Milena Alberti-Pérez, Director of Vintage Español/Random HousePatricia Arancibia, Manager, Editor, Buyer at Barnes & Noble.comIgnacio Domínguez, Director of Cultural Industries, Trade Commission of the Embassy of Spain, Miami, representing "America Reads Spanish"Fernando Gubbins, Editor-in-Chief of Primera Revista latinoamericana de Libros (PRL) Cecilia Molinari, Editor and General Manager, HarperCollins/RayoClaudio Iván Remeseira, Director of the Hispanic New York Project of the American Studies Program at Columbia University, will moderate the discussion.                                               ***
The Department of Literature at the Americas Society addresses Americas Society's mission through the organization of public programs and the publication of its acclaimed magazine, Review: Literature and Arts of the Americas. Since 1967, it has maintained an active schedule of bilingual readings, lectures, book presentations, and conferences featuring Latin American, Caribbean, and Canadian writers.
